Sunday into Monday…

After the non-events of Saturday (mind you the Chinese and chillaxed evening were perfectly fine), made my way over Mother’s in Chesham to find … SNOW!!

Mind you, Mother looks fine (if you ignore the sciatica )

Merry Christmas etc.…..

Decided to get back into gear and keep a running blog this Yule season (and if I really get going to keep this up to date and move away from Facebook….)

So (what a limp way to start!!), what’s happened so far?

RELAXED start to the season

Friday 17th

Had a relaxed evening with fellow badders people – long time friends for Suzie; big part of her life.

Saturday 18th

Peter was supposed to :

a) Watch Watford play Preston North End in the afternoon,

b) Then wander off to Luton for school christmas bash…

Suzie was supposed to go to St Stephen’s for the last dance bash before christmas ….

BUT

it snowed

So the world came to a stop….

I grew up, in the main, around Chesham chasing dragonflies and seeing nothing bigger flying around than rooks & crows...Now there's these beautiful things....

The REALLY great news is that they appear to have found their way to us in Bengeo as well - saw THREE wandering overhead yesterday...cool :)

So, where's the summer gone??

How is our life??

Well....generally the summer went fine,

Except the weather in Paris!!

We warmed up with lush coffee & bier...

Had some wonderful food at Chez Clement ,

Summer 2010

Had a GREAT summer..

Saw these...

Had some ale..

Dug a hole...

Cooked some lush food...

Caught a CRAB (her first one...)

looked serious..

had my own sentry...

Enjoyed some cracking company...

camped in peace and solitude....:)

Friday evening in the sun....

Must be spring, came home, opened can of cider, put ice in glass and poured..bliss!! our corner of the shared garden was blistering, going to need lots of sun cream if this carries on!!!

It's the knuckle biting end of the footie season now....Watford NEED a point tomorrow against Reading....or...

So, I'm off to watch Hertford Town v St Mags - local derby, last home game there as well...

It must be Spring....getting the feel to write again:)

Holidays...Well we're off to our now traditional Easter weekend stay at Westfleet this coming Thursday - keeping an eye on the weather forecast.

Come the summer it's going to be less exotic this year - 10 days in Cornwall BUT for our 2nd anniversary weekend we're off t Paris!!

Then at Christmas we're taking a cottage on Portland so we can have a Christmas with the kids & grand kids...

Sport wise...time to update this entry

Watford...struggling :( Off to see them this afternoon play Middlesborough - we need to win.

Hertford Town...struggling :( They're playing Langford today.

Waikato - did ok in the New Zealand Cup, looking forward to it again this summer.

The Chiefs...won their first three away games in Super 14...then lost the next three!!

Ah well - that's sport.

We're going for a walk tomorrow...going to pick one of these:-

It's FRIDAY... and READ this guy...

having got into the swing of twitter and Facebook, I've neglected this somewhat over the past months...need to address that.

I enjoy writing aimlessly on here - rather clears the mind a bit:)

Anyway, woke up this morning thinking life is fine (the tablets are working eventually...) and it's been a grand day - kids at school great, colleagues (and I HATE that words - what's wrong with work buddies...) funny - a definite risque dinner time...right now it's lovely espresso coffee and some amber stuff...

Made it - half term....

Well, we made it in one piece to the half way point of the school year...phew!!

Little sis and niece are down from the bleak north (okay - Aberdeen)...and we're off to see this young man and hand over the goodies for his birthday...HE'S FIVE!!!!
