Hols…day 4 ..and SUN!!

Tuesday 9th August.

Today was spent, in the main, on a wander around this wonderful place…

We (well I to be honest) had decided that we would experience Whitby through a day of cups of tea, chips, walking, beer & ice-cream…although the last is yet to happen!!

Parked up by the Abbey and wandered down across the bridge, mooching at the shops (charity of course) then down to the West Beach…where Suzie played Queen Canute…

Unfortunately – The North Sea was having none of that nonsense and GOT US…

Ah well – lots of sock shops…

Sea swell was high – some great splashing around the piers…

We ate chips and watched the bridge open…

We had the beer in the pub I reckon dad would have gone in…

Some of us (!!) got wet again…

And we had a look at Kiln Yard…those were the days RIP Auntie Doris, Dad, Auntie Dorothy, Auntie Mary….

Lastly ‘The Steps’…How Many Suzie??

Cooked some lush food...

Caught a CRAB (her first one...)

had my own sentry...

Enjoyed some cracking company...

camped in peace and solitude....:)

2. What I look forward to most on Easter Weekend is camping at Weymouth - means spring is here

3. My Christmas/holiday shopping is yet to begin!


4. Thoughts of woe fill my head.

5. I wish I could wear clothes that always look good on me, instead of looking like a sack!!

6. Bagpipes are fine at Edinburgh castle.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to an evening by myself (Suzie's going out with a pal), tomorrow my plans include domestics, hair cut and football and Sunday, I want to chill!

Well, now we ARE Mr & Mrs Fazey-Wood, what happened...

Spent the past few weeks filling up various personal diaries and seem to have run out of words to describe the build up, the wedding and the honeymoon!!

So, let's just simply say that the wedding was great - nice and gentle, grown up even!!

I can't vouch for the Hen Night though...

Went to Rhodes - lovely hotel, some yummy Tavernas AND Manuel....
