Into the late spring, another Bank holiday Weekend in Weymouth... All of a sudden grandchildren grow up!  We stayed at Debbie's for a change...
We did some exercise...(well we had to walk very fast to keep up!!)

We fished...(caught loads of weed..and saw some MASSIVE jellyfish...)

and this was the last time Grandad saw me with a dummy :)))

Autumn Update Part Three...

Wanderings...part 2!

As you would expect, Weymouth often appears in our wanderings agenda...!! This year not quite as much as previous times, but, hey ho, we get older!!  As do the grandchildren! and this one in May slipped in a puddle, and cracked her elbow!!

Google ( and others I presume, have introduced this fabulous new idea to google photo's - Stories..and here is the link to our May Bank Holiday trip :))

Cricklade/Ashton Keynes...  We wandered down here for the 90th birthday party of Suzie's friend Jenny's mother.
Weather glorious - check,
People friendly - check,

Food fun - check
Another picture story beckons!!!

More to come...

Well, it's nearly Christmas..again!!

It's been a couple of weeks off a year since I made any meaningful post on here...and here I am again, same place, same post :)

It's Rainworth time again, here to see this wonderful lady....

 Mnnt
So, what has happened in the year since our last visit? We're a year older, Suzie hit 50 in August and we had a wonderful holiday in Wales...ALL of Wales :)

Family are growing up...Alisha appears to be a teenager before her time...I got fat, and now am thinner, due mainly to changing diet and lots of walking, of which more later...

Suzie's sister Ann is not a well bunny, and that will shape our life for the coming months...:((

Walking...I've done loads since September! Round us at Bengeo, along the coast at Aberdeen, Sleights ( being towed by a dog), round an old pit in Rainworth...surprising how how often it ends at a pub :))

Welcome Maisie

We have a new addition with an old name to our ever extending family...a beautiful little ( very!!) girl, Maisie.

She weighed in at 6lbs 12oz at 2:10pm Thursday 2nd August - nice and gentle by the accounts of those that know these things...Big sister approves

and big brother

Was apparently more interested the big wide world outside the hospital window !!

We gave her time to adjust to the light before wandering down to Weymouth on Sunday to introduce the baby Maisie to her namesake Great Grandmother Maisie...

Now, neither Ben nor Debs knew about Mother's nickname, so no blame attached there then!!

When mother was born, she christened May Helen, but her Uncle Ted came wandering in, took one look, and stated "she's a Maisie..." and she has been Maisie to her family ever since. To everyone else she has been (just to confuse us mere mortals) called Mary the rest of her life!! At her first job there was three girls with the same name, so she became Mary...

No Suzie, you can't have one for Christmas...

Look, no screaming !!

Meanwhile, big brother was having fun with my glass case ( much more interesting than all than expensive stuff ...)

And big sister...

Wants to be a fashion designer 😊😊

Happy people :)))

and a Happy New Year to us all....

Can't believe it's been THREE years since I posted this
http://lendal.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

Has Obama been the fresh broom we all hoped for?  Well after looking at the red necks coming through he republican primaries one can only hope that our colonials vote for him again come November !!!

Crimble was stress free, agony free and very nearly alcohol free!! Loads left in The Nest  - made some big boo boos with the wine - a crummy expensive rioja,  a car wash French Shiraz and an Eiswein that really should have been MUCH better !!  Anyway....

Had a trip to Weymouth to see the kids

We saw a reindeer :)

We had a birthday girl (84 and still keeping us in check!)

and the birthday food was YUMMY!!

As for the organisation of Christmas Day itself....our young lady awaoke to a Stocking for the first time since she was aty school !! We heard a squeek!!

The laydees of the house had a RELAXING time...
and my favourite part was ...

so, we're looking forward to 2012 with hope....
